Matthew

New Testament

The Gospels

The gospel according to Matthew follows an early tradition and does not name the author. It was attributed to Matthew in the second-century and this tradition has stuck. It is part of the synoptic gospels along with Luke and Mark. This gospel covers the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
